RVI can be used to visually inspect every possible tube. RVI doesn't provide an y information about defect depth. But it can be useful to obtain information about defect geometry and the possibly present degradation mechanisms in a tube. Defects can be photographed and the image of the whole tube can be video taped. RVI is mainly used as a back up tool to verify the results of the other techniques... Dacon’s RVI systems has in pipe capabilities of reaching down to 2000 meter water depth and up to 1000 meter horizontal pipe length. Fiberoptic systems are also available for longer lengths of piping with automatic cable feed. Dacon’s intelligent pigging tools further enhances the capability for thickness verification and condition control in pipelines. Remote Visual inspection is originally the core business of Dacon. Since the beginning of the 80's Dacon has been involved in the development of remote visual inspection solutions. Dacon has the availability over a large amount of camera inspection tools which enables them to provide a solution for almost every situation. Camera's are available in a lot of sizes and can be used in many different configurations. Access holes as small as two millimeters can be entered and inspection length can go up to two kilometers. Every important detail can be visualized and captured on photo or video tape. Borescopes and Endoscopes Dacon has a large range of (rigid) borescopes and endoscopes. The smallest diameter borescope is 1.5 millimeter and available lengths go up to 50 meters. These inspection tools will for example be used for inspection of aircraft engines or turbine shafts. Dacon Video Probe This is the most standard camera with a diameter of 9 millimeter and a cable length of 6 meters. The camera has full recording options, can be used for numerous applications and the camera position can be remotely controlled. These camera's will for example be used for inspection of heat exchanger tubes, boilers and turbines. Dacon Micro Camera High resolution camera with a diameter of 25 millimeters and a cable length that goes up to 50 meters. The camera has full recording options, can be positioned in the desired viewing direction from a remote position and can be equipped with centering devices or crawler system .These camera's will for example be used for the inspection of short pipe lines, tanks and vessels. Dacon Pan Tilt Camera Camera with a diameter of 70 millimeter and a cable length that goes up to 2 kilometers. Camera has full recording options, can be rotated over 360 degrees, has a 90 degree sideway view and a remote focus. These camera's will for example be used for inspection of big and long pipe lines. More Dacon has the availability over a large range of adapters and devices to manipulate and transport camera's to desired locations and capture the pictures of interest. Examples are crawlers, tractors, centering devices, floating pigs, etc. On top of all of this a number of the Dacon’s cameras are water- and explosion proof. Typical Remote Visual Inspection Pictures
