Advance NDT

Thermography
This technique converts invisible heat energy into a visible picture. The tech nique enables the inspector to detect leakages and weak spots in insulation. Possible corrosion might occur on locations where the insulation is weak.

Time Of Flight Diffraction (TOFD)

A quick and accurate ultrasonic technique to detect and size defects in welds. The technique will be mainly used for inspection of new constructed components and the acceptance of them but can also be used for detection of cracks and corrosion in used components.

Positive Material Identification (PMI)

Dacon uses a portable analyzer equipped with an x-ray tube instead of radioactive isotopes. This gives Dacon the possibility to provide low-cost on-site analysis of almost every material.

Magnetic Flux Leakage Tank Floor scanning

The floor scanner works on the MFL principle and provides quick screening of entire tank floors. To prevent false indications from being reported, all indications found will be verified with manual ultrasonic examination.

UT Crawler/ Rope Access

For inspection on hard-to-access areas Dacon can provide any kind of inspection using Rope Access or ultrasonic measurements using a magnetic crawler.

ACFM/ACPD

Alternating Current Field Measurement enables reliable crack detection and sizing on a wide range of components. The technique can be applied on e.g. pipe butt welds, nozzles and pressure vessel seam welds.

Acoustic Emission

Acoustic Emission can be used to screen the condition of pressure vessels or tanks while they are in service. Acoustic emission gives a general indication about the condition of the object under test and localization of defects is limited.
